Bro. Larry Jerome Stamps, Sr. is a native of Gadsden, Alabama. He is currently
attending the Henry Street Church of Christ where he has served faithfully over
five years.
He was baptized into the Church of Christ in January of 1971 and shortly after
joined the US Marines as a musician (1971-1975). He retired after 36 years from
Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) as a packing specialist.


Because of his desire to preach and teach God’s Word; in 1979 he preached his
first sermon (shaking in his boots). While residing in Virginia he served as interim
minister, elder, deacon, and taught several bible classes at the Downtown Church
of Christ. He also attended seminars and training sessions with Sunset
International Bible Institute (Lubbock, TX) and became an instructor at the local
congregation. Until this day he continues to show his passion for studying,
teaching and sharing with others what he has learned.


Larry has been married to his wife, Cora, since 1981. He’s the father of seven
adult children; a loving grandfather and great grandfather.
Larry truly believes that: Sound Teaching Produces Sound Preaching!

I was baptize into the Church of Christ by Richard Leon Hooks, January
1971. I serviced in the us marine corps for 4 years as a
musician from 1971 – 1975.

Started preaching in 1979 to present. Retired from DLA, Defense Logistics

agency for 36 years 2005.


I served as packaging specialist
Married Cora M. Stamps the 25 of June will be 43 years. Joined in
marriage by J.W. Pitts Church of Christ minister.
